  • Arrange to accompany you on local walks and coach tours
  • Offer you a wide range of routes, attractions and hospitality outlets
  • Meet you at a convenient place
  • Accompany you for between two and six hours
  • Route your coach tour to cover many of the unique features of the area

The Green Badge Guides

Registered with the Heart of England Tourist Board, and affiliated to the Guild of Registered Tourist Guides and the Institute of Tourist Guiding (ITG). All of our guides must go through a full training and examination programme before they can become registered Green Badge Guides. The programme covers both in depth knowledge of the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas in terms of its history, local customs, geography and general knowledge as well as the practicalities and legal aspects of guiding.

Our guides are licensed to conduct tours on Forestry Commission (Forest Enterprise) land, because they are qualified, licensed and fully insured for both public and personal liability.

Due to the nature of the area, our guides are also licensed to conduct coach tours. A privilege normally only afforded to Blue Badge Guides.
